So this winter Break was exceptionally long thanks to our many snow days. I like snow days but I hate making them up. I stayed in Arkansas the entire time, because I don't have any fun relatives that live in the tropics. Usually I went Christmas shopping with my mom and got Starbucks. But mostly I either read or drew. I also went through the first four seasons of Scrubs on Netflix. My family and I opened our presents two days early, because the next two days we would be too busy driving back and forth from my cousins to my aunt's house. Also my sister worked so it was a bit hard to work around her schedule. Because of the huge snow storm, all my presents that I ordered on Amazon got delayed. On Christmas Eve, we ate a big dinner and I overdosed on homemade bread rolls and honey. We also had duck and it was amazing, I wish I had some now. After the food had settled in our stomachs, we played ‘Things’ for a few hours and for some odd reason I was always the first one out. The game was based on how well we knew each other. We stayed the night at my grandpa's house in Huntsville. I slept on the couch but it was the most comfortable couch I’ve ever slept on. Christmas morning was a morning like any other, I slept in till around 9-ish and woke up to bacon and eggs. They tasted amazing, my grandpa is a very good cook. An hour or two later we drove home so we could get ready to go to our cousin's house for Christmas dinner. We ate around three, which in my opinion is way too early to eat dinner. I think dinner should be eaten around 6pm. After I picked at my turkey, (I'm not a big fan), I listened to my cousins chatter about their jobs. All my cousins are older, there are none my age so I didn’t really have much to say. Then I watched Hot Rod and ended up falling asleep untill it was time to go. So you see my holiday break was quite boring and uneventful and I wished for a bit more excitement, but maybe next year will be better.
